Note from the Commissioner

September 26, 2007

Hello and welcome to DCHL. I will be using this page to give updates about the league. I will be working as hard as I can on this website to bring it up to standard and get the league started as soon as possible.

I'm glad to see some of the new faces returning, mixed with some new blood to freshen things up. Its been a few long years, and I'm glad to bring DCHL back. I believe that this league is one of the premier hockey sim leagues in our time. Only a few leaguse could go on hiatus for four years and be demanded. That is a credit to some of our GMs. I want to thank those guys (Bob, Eric, Ray to name a few) first for sticking around and holding out hope.

Now, down to business. Some of you already understand what DCHL is about and some will not understand. We pride this league on competitiveness while being fun. If a league is no fun, wnat's the point of doing it? I can personally attest that our veteran GMs are some of the best guys in the hockey world. Knowledgable and witty at times makes for a great league. I'm looking forward to this 9th Season of DCHL to be even as exciting as the first eight.

I'd like to discuss some rules. First, please be respectful of other GMs. Joking around is fine, just don't take it too far with racial slurs or swearing excessively at a individual GM. As many of our GMs know, joking with others helps the league in the fun department; just don't take it overboard. Also, please do not make a fake screen name and manage another team. In addition to that rule, no team can be "co-managed" unless granted approval first by the commissioner. Violating these rules can end up in fine, suspension or even expulsion from the league.

All trades MUST be sent to dchlhockey@hotmail.com . Please do not send spam or any other time waste e-mail to that mailbox. That is a created mailbox for the league only for transactions. Free Agency, Waivers and Releases will be discussed at a later date. Those must also be e-mailed. Any questions about the league can also be e-mailed to that address. There will be times where there will be times you will be unable to trade, due to simulation of games or a massive update of the website. Please follow these rules which will help the league operate smoother. Trades that are questionable will be frozen and be reviewed by the board.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask either myself, Bob, Eric, or any other board member.

Thanks for your time and enjoy DCHL.

Your Commish,

Dan
